Luke 1:5, 26-38

As Advent begins, we step into a season of longing, fear, and—above all—hope. In a world as turbulent as the time of Herod, God breaks into our ordinary lives just as God broke into Mary’s. Fear doesn’t disqualify us—it invites transformation. Like Mary, we are called to bear Christ into a fearful world, trusting that nothing is impossible with God. As we wait, may we listen to our fears, name them honestly, and still believe that God is near.
