Luke 24:13-35
“We had hoped…”—those words carry so much weight. But on the road to Emmaus in Gospel of Luke 24:13–35, hope isn’t the end of the story… it’s the beginning of something astounding. This week, we remember that the risen Christ doesn’t always show up in grand, obvious ways. Instead, Jesus meets ordinary people in ordinary moments—on a dusty road, in shared stories, and around a simple table. How often do we miss those moments today? In a world of schedules and routines, we can lose our sense of wonder. But Easter reminds us: the good news is still alive. Jesus is still walking beside us—even when we don’t recognize him yet. Where might God be showing up in your life right now? What might astound you if you made space to notice? Let your heart burn again. Stay open. Be ready. Resurrection is still happening.
