Luke 1:46-55

This week of Advent invites us to joy—not the shallow kind that ignores fear, but the deep, courageous joy that dares to say yes even while trembling. Mary’s song reminds us that God’s call often comes in the middle of fear, uncertainty, and survival. Like Mary and Jeremiah, we are not called because we are fearless—we are called because God is with us. Fear does not disqualify us. It can be the threshold of transformation. This Advent, we pause, light the pink candle of joy, and listen for God’s invitation: What fear are you carrying?  What “yes” is God inviting you to offer—faithfully, not perfectly? May we have the courage to magnify the Lord with our lives and trust that we are ready, equipped, and deeply loved.
