Matthew 1:18-25
Week four of Advent invites us to move through fear with courage and compassion. In Matthew’s telling of Jesus’ birth, Joseph doesn’t erase the risk—he chooses to share it. He reaches out in solidarity and says, in effect, “Give me your hand.” This Advent, we remember that God is present with us, strengthening us to show up for one another, especially for those carrying something sacred and heavy. Sometimes hope looks like accompaniment. Sometimes love looks like joined hands.
