This Lent, we begin with an open invitation. In Gospel of Luke, Jesus tells of a banquet where the expected guests decline—and the invitation is extended to the poor, the outcast, and the hungry. The reign of God turns social norms upside down. There is still room at the table. There is still abundance. There is still welcome. We are reminded that we don’t earn our place—we are invited. In Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, God makes space for us just as we are. This season isn’t only about giving things up; it’s about saying “yes” to the feast of grace set before us. All are invited. Will you come?
