Matthew 6:9-13
As we close our series on the Lord’s Prayer, we come to these powerful words: “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever.” Whose kingdom are we building? Whose power are we using? And who gets the glory? The Lord’s Prayer reminds us that our ultimate allegiance belongs to God. We are called to yield our power to God, use whatever influence we have for good, and let go of our need to receive the credit. The kingdom, the power, and the glory belong to God—not to us. As we finish this series, may we continue praying these words not just with our lips, but with our lives: “For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, NOT mine.”
