Romans 13:8-14
What does it really mean to follow God’s law? Paul reminds us that all of God’s commandments ultimately point us toward one thing: love. Love God. Love your neighbor. Love even when it’s difficult. God’s law isn’t simply a list of rules—it is an invitation to let God’s agape love transform our hearts and change the way we live. Love builds up instead of tearing down. Love seeks reconciliation. Love stands up for justice. Love offers hope when the world feels hopeless. As we continue our journey toward World Communion Sunday, we are invited to honestly consider the ways we have broken God’s law by failing to love our neighbors—and to ask how God can help us make things right. Love is the fulfillment of the law. How can we allow God’s love to flow through us and change the world?
